Genealogical research has become an important interdisciplinary field combining history, sociology, and digital humanities. It enables individuals to reconstruct family histories, restore lost connections, and better understand their cultural identity. This article presents a comprehensive personal study conducted by Olena Solovey, who explores her own lineage to recover erased names, forgotten events, and disrupted family ties. Through archival work and digital databases, the study identifies 11 generations of the family, restores contact with long-lost relatives, and proposes hypotheses regarding ethnic origins. The paper demonstrates how personal investigation contributes to preserving historical memory and strengthening intergenerational continuity. Keywords: genealogy, family history, historical memory, archives, identity, ancestry, family bonds, lineage.
