The essence of crowdfunding data is revealed as a set of structured, semi-structured and unstructured information about campaigns, their financial parameters, time dynamics, text descriptions, user behavior and funding results. A generalized classification of such data by source of origin, level of structuring, time characteristics, functional role and analytical suitability is proposed. Particular attention is paid to the problems of crowdfunding data collection, namely, in limited access to platform data, heterogeneity of formats, incompleteness of historical records, dynamic changes in the environment, as well as the difficulties of
