The essence of crowdfunding data is revealed as a set of structured, semi-structured and unstructured information about campaigns, their financial parameters, time dynamics, text descriptions, user behavior and funding results. A generalized classification of such data by source of origin, level of structuring, time characteristics, functional role and analytical suitability is proposed.
