The theses examine theoretical and institutional approaches to the coordination of macroprudential and microprudential policies in the banking sector. The necessity of aligning regulatory instruments in the context of minimizing systemic risks is substantiated, international coordination models are analysed, and the specifics of their implementation in Ukraine are outlined. The key challenges of interaction between prudential policies and their impact on financial stability are identified. Keywords: macroprudential policy, microprudential supervision, financial stability, systemic risk, banking sector, regulatory coordination. Following the global financial crisis of 2008–2009, there has been a significant rethinking of approaches to ensuring financial stability. In particular, it became evident that traditional microprudential supervision, aimed at maintaining the resilience of individual banks, does not guarantee the stability of the financial system
