The article explores contemporary trends in enterprise cost management under digital transformation, highlighting the shift from traditional retrospective control to strategic, data-driven and predictive approaches. It examines the role of artificial intelligence, big data analytics, ERP systems and IoT technologies in enabling near real-time monitoring, forecasting and decision support. Particular attention is given to AI-assisted cost management and human–AI collaboration in managerial decision-making. The study also emphasizes the transition from cost minimization to value-oriented cost management aimed at enhancing long-term enterprise competitiveness.
