249 ischaemia but also influences metabolic processes, functional parameters of the cardiovascular system, and overall prognosis. Among the basic drug groups used in CHD and AH are β-adrenoblockers (β-AB) and calcium channel blockers (CCB), which have different mechanisms of action, determining the differences in their clinical effects. Comparative data on the clinical (HR, SBP, DBP, LVEF) and metabolic (TC, LDL, HDL, UA) effects of these drugs in patients with combined CHD and AH pathology remain insufficiently systematised. Therefore, a comprehensive study of the effects of β-AB and CCB on haemodynamic and metabolic parameters is relevant for determining the optimal therapeutic strategy in this patient category. Aim of the study. To evaluate the effect of β-AB and CCB therapy on clinical and metabolic parameters in patients with CHD and AH. Materials and Methods The study included 60 patients (aged 40–65 years) with chronic CHD and grade II AH who were treated in a specialised cardiology department. All patients underwent 12-lead electrocardiography before and after treatment, which included the administration of statins, aspirin, ACE inhibitors, and, based on group allocation, either β-AB (30 patients) or CCB (30 patients). HR, SBP, DBP, TC, LDL, HDL, UA, and LVEF were assessed. The study complied with the Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by the local ethics committee. All patients provided written informed consent. Inclusion criteria: age 40–65 years, stable CHD and grade II AH. Exclusion criteria: arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, severe comorbid chronic conditions (renal failure, oncological pathology), conduction disturbances. Statistical data processing was performed using Microsoft Excel with parametric and non-parametric comparison methods. When a normal distribution was confirmed, Student's t-test was applied; data are presented as mean (M) ± standard error of the mean (m). For non-normal distribution, the Mann–Whitney test was used. The critical level of statistical significance was set at p<0.05, and a trend was defined at p<0.1. Results and Discussion
