The article examines the features of implementing budget policy in conditions of uncertainty. It is noted that in the conditions of global changes and the increase in the level of uncertainty caused by the Russian-Ukrainian war, budget policy as a significant instrument for regulating socio-economic processes has encountered significant obstacles and threats. Since the war has become the object of influence that has increased the level of uncertainty of socio-economic processes, in particular, the state budget deficit has significantly increased due to the need to increase defense spending. And, the increase in the deficit has caused a change in the priorities of budget policy and this makes budget policy different from peacetime conditions.
