108 The main goal of field ecological routes is to map degradation phenomena of changed landscapes based on visual observations for compiling soil contamination maps. Field ecological routes were conducted using the parallel route method. Soil sampling in the area of the contamination zone was carried out at geoecological polygons at each observation point. Samples were taken in open areas, which are not less than 50m away from the road. Sampling was carried out from a depth of 10 to 20 cm. The above-ground part of plants, rock fragments, and the root part of plants were removed from the sample. Sample weight - 1 kg. Samples were taken with a metal cup with a diameter of 80 mm. A mandatory condition was to indicate the time of sample collection. Thus, the main methodology used was the concept of assessing the impact of the consequences of war on the environment and the specific methodology of field expeditionary research, analytical work and computer processing of the obtained data.
