121 Thus, glass cullet is an important resource of glass waste for the circular economy, which is rapidly developing as a relatively new scientific and technical direction. The processing of Pb-containing glasses will require special attention, their chemical composition is described using binary and ternary systems PbO – TeO2 – Bi 2O3 – B2O3 – GeO2, PbO‒SiO2, K2O‒PbO‒SiO2, CdO – PbO – Bi2O3 – CdO – BaO – B2O3 [5]. This group belongs to radiation-resistant glasses used in medicine, radiobiology, radiochemical industry, nuclear power and is used for the manufacture of viewing windows, portholes, optical devices, etc. Due to the introduction of protective impurities such as Eu, Ce, Tb, Mn, Ag, Cu, Ti, Fe, Co, Ni, Cr, Mo, W, Nb, Zr into their composition, glasses will have increased radiation-optical stability. The main signs of radiation damage are polymorphic transformations, luminescence, color change, and as a result, loss of physical and mechanical properties and changes in physical characteristics, which include coefficients of thermal and electrical conductivity and thermal expansion, etc. However, their processing is economically profitable and important for the environment. The technology for manufacturing powder will include the operations of crushing spent glass waste, preparation of a powder mixture with subsequent melting at a temperature of 800 °C, grinding of the sintered agglomerate and quality control of the resulting particles according to morphological indicators. Further ways of its use are associated with the development of technological processes for the manufacture of new materials with special properties. First of all, these can be composites of strategic purpose, whose operational characteristics depend on both the chemical composition of Pb-containing glass powders and the degree of filling of the metal, ceramic or polymer matrix, the state of the interphase region and other factors, which will be the subject of further research by the author. Conclusion: The feasibility and options for using glass waste in the production of materials have been considered and analyzed; ways of processing Pb-containing glass waste have been determined.
