22 жовтня у бібліотеці до Європейського дня протидії торгівлі людьми у рамках роботи обласного гендерного центру відбулася публічна дискусія за темою «Людина – не товар!» за участю представників влади, громадських організацій та студентів вищих навчальних закладів міста.
Начальник відділу по роботі із сім’єю департаменту соціального захисту населення Миколаївської обласної державної адміністрації З.Г. Дмитрієва ознайомила присутніх із заходами щодо протидії торгівлі людьми у Миколаївській області та відмітила, що питання торгівлі людьми є актуальною і болючою проблемою для миколаївського регіону.
Пошук перспектив та можливостей співпраці й взаємодії різних суб’єктів у сфері запобігання розповсюдження торгівлі людьми розкрив волонтер міжнародної організації «А 21» М.Ю. Перевознюк.
Представник Головного територіального управління юстиції в Миколаївській області Ю.С. Грабович розповіла про привентивні заходи у боротьбі з торгівлею людьми.
Консультанти психологічної служби Миколаївського національного університету ім. В.О. Сухомлинського запинилася на емоціональному стані потерпілих від негативного явища, що ставить під загрозу всі демократичні досягнення суспільства.
Увазі присутніх була представлена виставка «Торгівля людьми – сучасний прояв рабства».

There was a public discussion
On October 22, in the library on the European Day against Trafficking in Human Beings, within the framework of the work of the regional gender center, a public discussion was held on the topic «Man is not a product!» with the participation of representatives of government, public organizations and students of higher educational institutions of the city.
Head of the Department for Social Protection of the Mykolaiv region State Administration Z.G. Dmitrieva introduced the participants to the anti-trafficking measures in the Mykolaiv region and noted that the issue of trafficking in human beings is an actual and painful problem for our Mykolaiv region.
A search for the prospects and opportunities for cooperation and interaction between different actors in the field of prevention of the spread of trafficking in human beings was revealed by the volunteer of the international organization «A 21» M.Yu. Perevoznyuk.
Representative of the Main Territorial Department of Justice in the Mykolaiv region Yu.S. Grabovich spoke about preventive measures in the fight against trafficking in human beings.
Consultants of the psychological service of V.O. Sukhomlinsky Mykolaiv National University was shocked at the emotional state of the victims of the negative phenomenon, which jeopardizes all the democratic achievements of society.
Attention was given to the exhibition «Trafficking in persons - a modern manifestation of slavery», which revealed one of the most serious crimes against human beings.
