English Book Club
On September 7, the Information Book Resource Center of the International Partnership took place a regular meeting of the English Book Club with the participation of volunteer Brad Bannister.
The participants of the meeting read and discussed the short story "Chase" - an excerpt from the last chapter of "Moby Dick" by the American short story writer, novelist and poet Herman Melville.
"Moby Dick" is considered the greatest American novel of the XIX century. At the heart of this unique work, written against the laws of the genre, is the pursuit of the White Whale. Fascinating plot, epic sea paintings, descriptions of bright human characters in harmonious combination with the most universal philosophical generalizations make this book a true masterpiece of world literature.
