Миколаївщина – багатонаціональний край. У такій різнобарвній родині мають панувати мир, толерантність і злагода. Знайомство з історією, культурою і традиціями народів, що проживають на території міста й області, сприяє взаєморозумінню та дружбі. Саме з цією метою був започаткований локальний проект обласної наукової бібліотеки «Сузір’я злагоди».
24 травня в історичному центрі нашого міста у рамках цього проекту відбулася екскурсія «В об’єктиві історії – польський Миколаїв». Захід, присвячений історії перебування поляків на території міста Миколаєва, був організований співробітниками ОУНБ ім. О.Гмирьова та Миколаївським обласним товариством поляків. Пройти слідами польської історії нашого міста зібралися представники Миколаївського обласного товариства поляків на чолі зі своїм керівником Селянською Є.Г., інших національних об’єднань міста, перекладачі, викладачі та студенти вищих навчальних закладів міста та прихильники польської мови.
Екскурсію проводив старший викладач інституту історії, політології та права МНУ ім. В.О.Сухомлинського, вчений-археолог та краєзнавець Смирнов Олександр Ігорович. Він ознайомив учасників з цікавими та маловідомими фактами з історії проживання поляків на Миколаївщині, інформацією, що пов’язана з іменами видатних представників польського народу, які вплинули на розвиток економіки та культури регіону. Історичні будівлі, що збереглися до наших днів, повністю захопили увагу слухачів, а звуки рідної для багатьох учасників польської мови зворушили та підігрілі бажання оволодіти мовою досконало.

Excursion «In the Lens of History - Polish Mykolaiv»
Mykolaiv region is a multinational land. In such a colorful family there must be peace, tolerance and harmony. Understanding the history, culture and traditions of the peoples living in the city and the region, promotes mutual understanding and friendship. It was with this purpose that the local project of the Regional Scientific Library «Constellation of Concord» was initiated.
On May 24 a tour «In the Lens of History - Polish Mykolaiv» was held in the historical center of our city, within the framework of this project. The event, devoted to the history of the stay of the Poles in the city of Mykolaiv, was organized by the staff of the O. Hmyryov Regional universal scientific library and Mykolaiv regional association of Poles. Walk in the footsteps of Polish history of our city gathered representatives of Mykolaiv Regional Society of Poles led by their leader of Selyanska E.G., other national associations of the city, translators, teachers and students of higher educational institutions and supporters Polish.
The excursion was conducted by a senior lecturer at the Institute of History, Political Science and Law of the V.O.Sukhomlynsky MNU., archaeologist and ethnographer O. I. Smirnov. He introduced the interesting and little known facts from the history of Poles living in Mykolaiv, information associated with the names of prominent representatives of the Polish people that have influenced the development of economy and culture of the region. Historical buildings that have survived completely captured the audience's attention, and the native sounds of many Polish participants moved and fueled a desire to learn the language perfectly.
