114 For instance, she examined the case of her great-grandmother Maria‘s cousin, Kudash Mykhailo (Pic.5), a lieutenant in the Red Army who contributed to the Soviet Union‘s victory in World War II. Upon first seeing his photograph in an online archive, she noticed a strong resemblance to her father. Initially, other family members did not recognize this similarity. However, after Olena provided documented evidence confirming that Kudash Mykhailo was indeed our relative, they acknowledged the resemblance, identifying it as a shared family trait. Picture 5.
