Scientific novelty lies in the first attempt to highlight the taking into account the phenomenon of clip thinking of the Internet generation during the preparation of performances in modern Ukrainian theater. Clip thinking is a peculiar stage of evolution, the birth of a new age. At the current stage, society has moved to a new level of information. The so-called screen culture has emerged, affecting direct communication and information broadcasting, education and management. The way of thinking is being transformed, the concept of clip thinking has appeared. Not to exaggerate the risks, but there is a danger to the ability to create culture with your own mind and hands, not just on a computer. Even the older generation, and especially the younger generation, has a tendency to clip thinking. The development of the Internet causes conditions to think less logically, perceiving information superficially and fragmentarily. The term clip thinking appeared in the mid-1990s. For the first time, the phenomenon of mosaic clip culture was studied by the French sociologist A. Mol, and the phenomenon of clip thinking was more investigated by E. Toffler. According to him, the main characteristics of this phenomenon are short modular bursts of information, advertising truncated news, unrelated to each other, which do not fit into our previous mental cells. The non- linearity and clip-like consciousness of modern viewers requires the analysis of old and the development of new methods of informing. Almost all researchers identify several reasons for its appearance: the development of modern technologies; the need to receive a large amount of information; multitasking; acceleration of the rhythm of life; declaration of democracy and dialogicity of the social system. The clip type of thinking starts with those born after 1981 and, to an even greater extent, those born after 1994, so-called Internet generation, and these are no longer children nowadays. Positive features include speeding up the reaction to choosing landmarks among an unpredictable amount of information, the ability to instantly turn on or switch attention. Paradoxically, however, clip thinking protects against information overload,
