9 financial planning, clearer investment priorities, and a more transparent evaluation of innovative projects. The ability to attract investment also depends on how companies plan their innovation activities, how they assess risks, how they combine different sources of financing, and how effectively they monitor the use of the resources they have secured. Thus, the top three countries in terms of innovation in 2024 are traditionally led by Switzerland, Sweden, and the United States (Fig. 1) [1]. In 2024, Ukraine ranked 60th in the Global Innovation Index, dropping five places compared to last year’s report by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
