Types of Social and Psychological Support Needed by Students The results of the social diagnosis demonstrated that a significant proportion of first-year students experience adaptation difficulties, exhibit elevated levels of anxiety, and require comprehensive support. The obtained data served as a basis for identifying priority areas of social work aimed at supporting adaptation, reducing psycho-emotional tension, and ensuring the successful integration of vulnerable categories of students into the educational environment of higher education institutions. Conclusion Social diagnosis is an important tool for identifying factors affecting the adaptation and integration of vulnerable categories of students into the educational environment of higher education institutions. Its application makes it possible to comprehensively assess the difficulties faced by students, identify their current needs, and substantiate priority areas of social work.
