372 Methods. The research is based on cultural, hermeneutic, interpretative, and analytical approaches. Structural and semantic analysis is employed to identify the artistic functions of timbre and texture, while the interpretative method is used to examine the transformation of the composition from a cinematic soundtrack into an autonomous concert work. Results. The study demonstrates that ―You’re So Cool,‖ originally composed as part of the musical dramaturgy of the film True Romance , acquires an independent artistic status in contemporary ensemble interpretations. The marimba plays a leading role in shaping the sonic image of the work, emphasizing its lyrical, contemplative, and emotionally expressive qualities. The timbral palette of the percussion ensemble creates a unique sonorous environment that combines elements of film music, minimalist aesthetics, and academic concert performance. It has been established that the adaptation of the composition for marimba and percussion ensemble significantly expands its expressive and communicative potential, enabling new forms of artistic perception and interpretation. Conclusion. The reinterpretation of ―You’re So Cool‖ for marimba and percussion ensemble demonstrates the ability of contemporary performance practice to generate new meanings within well-known musical texts. Timbre functions as one of the principal carriers of artistic content, while the interaction between cinematic origins and concert realization contributes to the formation of an intertemporal and intercultural artistic dialogue. This ensures the continued relevance of Hans Zimmer‘s music in the cultural space of the twenty-first century. As a research prospect further research may focus on comparative studies of percussion ensemble arrangements of film music, the role of marimba in contemporary multimedia performance practices, and the transformation of cinematic soundtracks into independent concert repertoire within modern percussion art.
