The play «The Savage» was written by Jean Anouilh in 1934. The stage adaptation took place in 1937- 38 by director Georges Pitoev. Until now, this play has been poorly performed in the Ukrainian theatrical space. The author of this study staged «The Savage» with students of the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema and Television in 2022. The content of this play is very successfully complemented by the music of Vasyl Barvinsky’s «Piano Sextet». This Ukrainian work was written by a young composer back in the 1920s.
