122 Unit 2. Working under pressure – grammar: Past tenses (Simple, Continuous, Perfect, Perfect Continuous), the constructions would and used to. Unit 3. Breaking bad news – grammar: future tenses (Simple, be going to, Continuous, Perfect), Future in the Past. Unit 4. Referring a patient – grammar: modal verbs (ability, permission, obligation, certainty), conditional sentences (zero, first, second, third, mixed). The Ukrainian-language component of the course encompasses three broad areas: grammar (including phonetics, morphology, vocabulary, and orthography), syntax, and stylistics. Particular emphasis is placed on Greek and Latin terminological elements, stress patterns in scientific medical terminology, the 2019 orthographic reform, as well as non-verbal communication and presentation skills [8; 9]. 6. Teaching and Evaluation Methods. The curriculum includes practical classes, independent student work, and regular language laboratory sessions to enhance listening skills. Assessment consists of three stages: ongoing assessment (at each class), assessment of independent work, and a final differentiated credit. Ongoing assessment uses a four-point scale with detailed criteria for evaluating reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Test-based assessment comprises multiple-choice tasks, translation, and question-answering. The final assessment is conducted in both written and oral formats (35 tasks; maximum score – 80, minimum passing score – 50). 7. Interdisciplinary Integration. The programme connects with core disciplines, including biology, anatomy, physiology, Latin, and bioethics. This ensures informed use of knowledge from these foundational disciplines during both foreign language and Ukrainian language training [10].
