The article examines the intercultural reception of Ukrainian theatre in Europe under the conditions of the full-scale war that began in 2022. Special attention is given to the transformation of production models that ensure the international presence of Ukrainian theatre projects, including co-productions, festival platforms, grant schemes, and residency programs. The study identifies key aesthetic narratives of contemporary Ukrainian theatre, dominated by themes of war, trauma, identity, and decolonization, as well as documentary and performative practices. It is argued that Ukrainian theatre in the European context functions as an instrument of cultural diplomacy and emerges as a translocal phenomenon that combines national authenticity with global artistic strategies. The research demonstrates that intercultural reception depends on the balance between aesthetic universality and the preservation of cultural specificity. The main challenges include language barriers, the risk of stereotyping, and resource instability, while the prospects lie in further integration of Ukrainian theatre into the European cultural space. Keywords : Ukrainian theatre, intercultural reception, cultural diplomacy, war in Ukraine, production models, co-production, theatre festivals, documentary theatre, aesthetic narratives, European cultural space
