243 Modern education flexibly responds to technological evolution and societal transformation. Emphasis is placed on the introduction of progressive educational methods that shape the skills needed to cope with global threats. At the same time, global demographic and economic growth generates enormous pressure on natural capital. This creates an urgent need for transformation towards an ecological economy built on efficient and sustainable resource management. The success of this transition is conditioned by the presence of qualified employees capable of adapting to new market conditions, which directly increases the demand for technically oriented skills and expert education. With the changing demands of the labor market, the question of how to prepare future experts for operation in the green economy is increasingly being raised. The key challenge is to capture new educational trends and form future workers in accordance with the priorities of ecology and sustainability [1]. Closely related to this is the discussion on the possibilities of establishing new study fields reflecting the green transformation. Experience from practice shows that Slovakia urgently needs to build and develop an expert base that can effectively face climate change and environmental threats. STEAM skills, critical thinking, reading literacy, digital and entrepreneurial competences, as well as the implementation of interdisciplinary and participatory approaches will be key for the successful development of ecological education [2]. Universities must accept their role as social leaders, facilitating businesses' access to innovation, ensuring technology transfer through the dissemination of scientific knowledge and providing know-how, but above all preparing students for real market demands [3,4]. In an environment of a green and sustainable economy, individuals will need flexible and general competences in the field of sustainability. However, an ecologically oriented economy also strictly requires specific technical skills linked to the performance of so-called green jobs. This term does not have a uniform definition, as different authors and institutions approach it differently. It is a complex and variable concept that defies a single universal definition. In general, however, green jobs are understood as forms of employment, the core of which are activities aimed at preserving and revitalizing
