For the purposes of this work, a structured interview with entrepreneurs (owners or managers of companies) was used. The central task in the interviews was the Q-type, supplemented by a number of open-ended questions to collect qualitative data for the interpretation of the factors. The SPSS Statistics 20 software and Google functionalities were used to process the contribution. Results and discussion By applying Q-methodology to a sample of 20 respondents from among the owners and managers of Slovak businesses, three specific factors were identified that represent different schools of thought and attitudes towards innovation trends in the field of green economy and employee education. Each of these factors reflects the specific socio-economic reality in which Slovak business entities currently find themselves.
